Press a button for 15 minutes of continuous classical music. Uses 3 AA batteries. We researched this before we bought it. It may not be as ‘cute’ as other mobiles but popular with babies – the black spirals are great for newborns and the bright coloured figures, spots and dots help babies focus and develop visualization. The classical music is apparently more soothing for babies (and adults!) and hypnotic. The colours, figures, shapes are easier for baby to focus on and keep baby occupied – they do not tend to get bored quickly with this mobile and it seems to keep them amused for longer .
